Central Division Arua City MP Atima Jackson Issues Statement After Ora County MP Lawrence Songa Asked UNRA Executive Director Allen Kagina Not to Work With Him.

Good evening dear Bretheren.

Im sorry to send you this information which i didnt want to,  but because of the magnitude of the subject matter, and also because of the concerns of some of the members about west nile, allow me to inform you that;

This afternoon as i was making a follow up with the Executive Director of UNRA, Madam  ALLEN KAGINA about the field visit that we had resolved to carry out with all the MPS of West Nile together with her team of Engineers and the Minister for Works and Transport aftet our engagement with UNRA a month or so ago,to asses the poor state of roads in the entire Region  of west Nile .

I was dismayed when the ED of URA told me that she was called by Hon Songa Laurance, the New Caucus Chair that she should not deal with me or any other mp from west nile in as far as that field visit is concerned and that any thing to do with West Nile should be by him since he is now the Caucus chair.

I then asked the ED some few quetions which made her feel sorry and said she was going to call my boss the GCW .Hon Thomas Tayebwa to seek more clarification and guidence.

Indeed when i was in the House for plenery, my boss informed me that he will call me and Hon Songa in the Eveing ,meaning the ED called him.

Dear my brothers and sisters sincerely if we have a Caucus to bring the mps of west nile together to push with one voice, the key strategic interest of the region and use the government structures like my office of Regional whip, and the ministries like of Northern Uganda, Investment  etc etc would it really not achieve some things for the region?

What is this kind of animosity for?

I cherish unity because unity is power.

There are too many things to do for our region not only the road challenge.

I very much would wish to work with the Caucus  but it is very sad if the chair starts calling Government Agencies and MDAs of Government not to work with other mps except him as the Caucus chair then the region can be loughed at.

I thank you.
