🇳🇬 Nigeria's Kano State holds mass wedding for 1,800 couples.

A total of 3,600 men and women tied the knot in the mass wedding sponsored by the state's government and organized by the Hisbah board, a religious police force. 💬 "A significant milestone in fulfilling our pledge to promote cultural traditions and social cohesion was achieved today, as we formalized the matrimonial union of 3,600 men and women in Kano," said Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Yovan Adriko, the Vurra County Member of Parliament (MP) in Arua district has been committed to six months civil prison for failing to clear debts amounting to shs55,677,400. Adriko was on Thursday evening sent to Arua government prison to serve six months shortly after his arrest at Slumberland hotel in Arua City. MP Adriko warrant of committal judgement debtor to jail. INDUSTRIAL CITY DIVISION LEGISLATOR HON KARIM MASABA SOLVES THE PROLONGED LAND WRANGLE BETWEEN INDUSTRIAL SINO PARK MANAGEMENT AND THE RESIDENTS.

The chaos over Land that erupted between the leaders of Industrial Park and residents of Masanda cell in Nabitiri Ward has come to an end.  This came following the meeting that was held last week to discuss how best the leadership of industrial park and residents can be in good terms.  The meeting involved Sino Uganda Mbale industrial park Manager who represented the Park, local leaders who represented the residents, Hon Karim Masaba the Area Member of Parliament among others. "By Year 2030, All Ugandans Will Have Access to Electricity" - Energy Minister Hon Nankabirwa Assures the Country.

The Minister of Energy and Mineral Development, Ruth Nankabirwa has revealed that by 2030, all Ugandans would have access to electricity, despite testimonies from MPs that their constituencies are engulfed in darkness and grappling with load shedding.  The Country is targeting to achieve 100% access by 2030, given the progress so far, the sector requires funds to implement project to take us to this target. However, the ministry has secured funding from the world bank under the Electricity Access Scale Up Project (EASP) that will be utilized partially for free connections across the country. This is expected to increased connections by over 1 million," Nankabirwa.
