CYBER ATTACK.DHS Warns Small Airplanes Vulnerable to Flight Data Manipulation Attacks. An Interesting but also amusing Phrase. This article is entirely Dedicated to those addicted to their Smartphones While in Flights. What could be more horrifying than knowing that Hacker can trick the Aeroplane`s electronic systems into displaying false Flight Data to the Pilot, Which Could Eventually Result in Loss of Control.

Of course, the attacker would never wish to be on the same flight, so in this article, we are going to talk about a potential loophole that could allow an attacker to exploit a vulnerability with some level of "unsupervised" physical access to a small aircraft before the plane takes off. The United States Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) has issued an alert for the same, warning owners of small aircraft to be on guard against a vulnerability that could enable attackers to easily hack the plane's CAN bus and take control of key navigation systems. The vulnerability, discovered by a cybersecurity researcher at Rapid 7, resides in the modern aircraft's implementation of CAN (Controller Area Network) bus—a popular vehicular networking standard used in automobiles and small aircraft that allows microcontrollers and devices to communicate with each other in applications without a host computer. Rapid7 researcher Patrick Kiley demonstrated that a hacker with physi...

Female NRM supporters showing their leaders some love during the greater Masaka tours which Nankabirwa used to declare her wish to run another 25 years The GCW, who has been MP since leaving school in the 1990s, is continuing to have her stranglehold on Kiboga district which she represents as Woman MP. She took the mantle from Rhoda Kalema (an old UPM lady she has since forgotten) who first introduced her to the President. Nankabirwa used to be one of the nice-looking young ladies that would be called upon to serve on the high table whenever the H.E. visited Kiboga which is ...

The AI-powered photo-morphing app that recently gone viral for its age filter but hit the headlines for its controversial privacy policy—has been found collecting the list of your Facebook friends for no reason. The Russian-made FaceApp has been around since the spring of 2017 but taken social media by storm over the course of the past few weeks as millions of people downloaded the app to see how they would look when they are older or younger, or swap genders. Police officers in control rooms of Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) security cameras shall be prosecuted in police disciplinal tribunal for sharing footage to civilians. Asan Kasingye, the Chief Police Commissar (CPC) and Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIGP) said all officers in CCTV monitoring rooms have no legal permission to share clips to civilians because such footage must only be accessed by forensic experts. Kasingye says there are scenarios where civilians have gone to police stations and CCTV monitoring rooms demanding for footage captured about certain criminal activities or accidents. He warns officers not to succumb to such pressures because they would face it rough afterwards. Police say sharing footage to civilians without police authority does not only jeopardise investigations but puts life to suspects captured in a traffic offence or criminality at risk. Friday 26 July 2019. Your Android Phone Can Get Hacked Just By Playing This Video. Are you using an Android device? You should be more careful while playing a video on your smartphone—downloaded anywhere from the Internet or received through email. That's because, a specially crafted innocuous-looking video file can compromise your Android smartphone—thanks to a critical remote code execution vulnerability that affects over 1 billion devices running Android OS between version 7.0 and 9.0 (Nougat, Oreo, or Pie). The critical RCE vulnerability (CVE-2019-2107) in question resides in the Android media framework, which if exploited, could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on a targeted device. To gain full control of the device, all an attacker needs to do is tricking the user into playing a specially crafted video file with Android's native video player application. Though Google already released a patch earlier this month to address this vulnerability, apparently m...
