The LC3 Chairperson for Awiziru Sub-county, Hon Saul Abiriga was arrested on Wednesday 30-10-2024 and detained at Maracha District Central Police Station pending more investigation over Parish Development Model money he is allegedly involved in.  According to the brief findings, the LC3 Chairperson for Awiziru Sub-county, Hon Saul Abiriga helped a disabled and barren 75-Years-Old Mzee Andrua Simon in 2022 to register into Magoba Enterprise Sacco group and received 900,000 Shs, upon which the LC3 Chairperson allegedly took all the money and refused to give a penny to the beneficiary. They get money through the sale of coffee,  banana, milk, cows, and tea, and many of them are educated and employed in both private and public sectors.  Therefore, we must identify high-value cash crops that can do well in our areas.
