China Bans U.S. Chip Giant Micron, Citing "Serious Cybersecurity Problems".

The development comes nearly two months after the country's cybersecurity authority initiated a probe in late March 2023 to assess potential network security risks. "The purpose of this network security review of Micron's products is to prevent product network security problems from endangering the security of national critical information infrastructure, which is a necessary measure to maintain national security," the Cyberspace Administration of China (CAC) said. The CAC further said the investigation found "serious cybersecurity problems" in Micron's products, endangering the country's critical information infrastructure supply chain. Bye Bye to Typos: WhatsApp to Allow Users to Edit Sent Messages.

WhatsApp has unveiled a new feature that lets users edit messages that have already been sent. With the new feature, users of the instant messaging service would be able to edit messages even 15 minutes after sending them, the Chief Executive Officer of Meta, Mark Zuckerberg, disclosed this on Monday 22-5-2023. “For the moments when you make a mistake or simply change your mind, you can now edit your sent messages on WhatsApp. “We’re excited that you’ll now have more control over your chats, such as correcting misspellings or adding more context to a message. “For this, within 15 minutes of sending the message, you have to tap and hold that message for a while and then select the option of ‘Edit’ from the menu.” Before the new feature, users of the social media had to delete messages or provide corrections in a different message. Another Nasty Accident at Nakasongola Leaves Six People with Critical Injuries.

Statement on Nakasongola accident.  The traffic police at Nakasongola yesterday  20th.05.2023, at about 1700/C registered a serious accident at Namayonjo Village along the Kampala Gulu highway involving four motor vehicles reg  NO. UAY 363R/ UAQ 089C,a  Trailer Scania,  UBF 993M, a fuso fighter, UBG 573L a Toyota Probox and   UAR 565J, a Toyota Hiace.  Six people sustained serious injuries.  Preliminary findings indicate that motor vehicle registration number UBF 359R, a Canter that was facing Kampala side got a mechanical problem and as the driver was trying to check on what happened to his vehicle,  the front vehicle stopped to give way for the coming trailer that was from Gulu side, in the process, the Toyota Hiance which was heading to Kampala over took the three vehicles that had stopped causing a collision between the trailer, pushing it backwards, the hiace then knocked the Fuso backwards.
