SHOULD YOU PAY TAXES IF THERE IS CORRUPTION IN YOUR COUNTRY ?.

Matthew has been forced to give 30 bribes since the year began. First, it was to get a letter from the L.C. 1, and then it was to get an appointment or to have police assistance, among others. Even when he wanted to visit his brother, who had been arrested, he was told to pay for ‘tea’ before he could do it. While listening to the radio, he heard an announcement about paying taxes to build the nation. He wanted to know if he should pay taxes if some people are corrupt.   WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY? For example, there is a tax known as income tax which must be paid by all types of people who make money from within the country.   Other taxes include P.A.Y.E., which is a tax on your salary from employment(your job). Some other taxes are not direct such as the tax on salt, sugar and things we use in our day-to-day life. This is...

Opinion; The Passed Anti-homosexuality bill is a ploy to divert Ugandans from discussing corruption scandals rocking the Country - Osuta Yusuf.

This homosexuality bill has been brought and passed at a well calculated time when the whole country is having breaking news on; 1. Arrogance and professional misconducts by government officials. 2. Corruption scandals with the recent been Karamoja Iron Sheet scandal, Karamoja goat scandal where Ministry officials allegedly spent 500,000 Shs to buy each  goat to be delivered for the vulnerable people  Karamoja Sub-region. 3. KCCA corruption scandal, among others. What pride do we have in having sex (producing) when the resources we have as a country to lay the foundation of our generation is being stolen in broad day light ?. “Homosexuality” is by choice and more over it affects the life of that person who accepts to be lured into it by money. But “Corruption” is a cancer that affects the life of everyone including  Christians, Muslims, Gays (LGBTQ), Men, Women, Tribes and so on. Ugandans must stop being gullible and naive. NB; These are my views and  opi...
