CORONAVIRUS AWARENESS. President Museveni Has Ordered 32 Days Suspension of Schools, Discos, Churches, Cinemas, Mosques And Other Public Gatherings, As He Spares Suspension of Burials / Funerals and Abroad Flights.

It wise that we close the schools (Pre-primary, Primary, Secondary, University, and Tertiary) starting Friday at midday. The closure is only temporary and will take one month. We should do this to deny the coronavirus a chance. I have observed the situation in other countries and we have seen the stampede in areas like transport. You saw how many people were clogged at airports in the USA The crowding alone is the perfect ground for more infection because as people run, they infect each other,  let us move early. The prayers will continue but in homes, God is in all places. Yes, we have been praying together and it has its advantages, but we can not insist on it in the face of danger. Religious leaders can use radio stations and TVs to continue preaching.  Pope Francis has abandoned his customary preaching at St peters Square and took on to preach through the television. He has set a very good precedent. Ugandans coming back from abroad will not be stopped, but they wi...

RACISM AND XENOPHOBIC OUTBURST BACK IN AMERICA OVER CORONAVIRUS OUTBREAK. Asian Americans are Facing Violent Xenophobia During the Coronavirus Outbreak.

Members of the Asian American Commission hold a press conference on the steps of the Massachusetts State House to condemn racism towards the Asian American community because of coronavirus on March 12, 2020 in Boston. In recent weeks, we’ve seen an unprecedented epidemic of the coronavirus spread across the world. Unfortunately, we’ve also seen a spike in anti-Asian violence and prejudice. In the U.S., racist and xenophobic outbursts, assaults and discriminatory practices against Asian Americans have been reported from coast to coast. Chinese restaurants are witnessing 30 to 80 percent drops in business. Misinformation about COVID-19 is rampant on social media. Blaming or insinuating that Asian Americans are somehow responsible for, or even connected to, the pandemic is outrageous and inflammatory. Asian Americans, especially Chinese Americans, have been consistent friends of Jews in the United States — and as a minority group that has been a consistent scapegoat throughout his...

Sim Swapping Fraud Hacking. Europol, along with the Spanish and the Romanian national police, has arrested 26 individuals in connection with the theft of over €3.5 million ($3.9 million) by hijacking people's phone numbers via SIM swapping attacks. The law enforcement agencies arrested 12 and 14 people in Spain and Romania, respectively, as part of a joint operation against two different groups of SIM swappers, Europol said. The development comes as SIM swapping attacks are emerging as one of the biggest threats to telecom operators and mobile users alike. The increasingly popular and damaging hack is a clever social engineering trick used by cybercriminals to persuade phone carriers into transferring their victims' cell services to a SIM card under their control. The SIM swap then grants attackers access to incoming phone calls, text messages, and one-time verification codes (or one-time passwords) that various websites send via S...
