DID YOU EVER THINK THAT THE BIBLE IS KINDA LIKE THE HISTORY OF HOW LAWS WORK?

We have all heard the story of Adam and Eve. If you haven’t, then banange, go to church (the online one or radio kind). Anyway, in that story about the first couple, God told Adam that you could eat ANYTHING from the Garden of Eden but just don’t eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. (We would like to know what that fruit looks like). We know how the rest of the story goes; the snake tempted Eve who ate the fruit and gave some to Adam, who also ate, and they both realized that they were naked and so on and so forth. WHAT LEGAL LESSONS CAN YOU GET FROM THE STORY OF ADAM AND EVE?  Fair Hearing:  Even God (who sees all and knows all), knew that Adam and Eve had eaten the ‘wrong’ fruit, gave them a fair hearing. He still asked, “Adam, where are you? What happened?” And Adam was given a chance to state his case before God. (Although he probably needed a lawyer to plead on his behalf) Spouses as witnesses The second lesson we can easily derive from this story is how spouses ar

CAN YOU KIDNAP YOUR OWN CHILD, AND WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY ABOUT IT ❓.

Watante and Maimuna had Gaby and Gabe as their only children before their relationship fell apart. However, word reached Watante that Maimuna was going to marry a Muzungu. Watante decided that another man was not going to raise his children, so he waited while Maimuna was at the market and forcefully took the children from the babysitter. Maimuna reported him to police for kidnap and the police is currently looking for him, but they are also confused about the situation. Can a parent kidnap their own child?  WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY? Kidnapping is the act of abducting someone and holding them captive. By law, it is a serious offence (felony) to remove a child from access to or from lawful guardianship. If convicted, the punishment is 10 years or more of imprisonment.  CAN A PARENT KIDNAP HIS OR HER OWN CHILD?  No, a parent cannot also kidnap their own child. By law, a parent has a right to live and be with their child. However, if the courts of law determine that the parent is a danger to

I was not aware, Hon Mohammad Nsereko tells Court, as Petition Challenging his Kampala Central MP Seat Kicks Off at High Court.

Kampala High Court Judge, Margaret Apinyi has set Monday 23rd August 2021 as the day for hearing of election challenging the declaration of Kampala Central MP Mohammad Nsereko. On 10th March 2021 Bobi Wine’s Brother Fred Nyanzi Sentamu filed an electoral petition against the Electoral Commission, the Returning Officer Kampala Central Ms. Musiime Doreen and MP Nsereko Mohammed. Appearing before Court for a pre hearing session, Nsereko Mohammad’s Lawyer Bernad Mutyaba told the presiding judge that his client is not aware of any petition filed against his victory. Through his lawyers led by Justin Ssemuyaba, Nyanza wants court to order for recounting of votes in the 50 Polling stations gazetted Kampala Central. Nsereko is the only MP who won the election in Kampala with the rest being won by the National Unity Platform (NUP). “There was noncompliance and failure to conduct a free and fair election, which substantially affected the results,” Nyanzi’s lawyer said. Nyanzi averred that the el

Hon Driwaru Jennifer; While Attending Covid-19 Taskforce Meeting Yesterday 17-8-2021, We Discussed on How Maracha can Continue to Keep Low Covid-19 Prevalence.

https://www.facebook.com/109123777629098/posts/308886797652794/ I became concerned about a report by the DPC, that shows our youth were recruited illegally to go and work in  unknown places but the question that remains disturbing is child labour,  who is responsible for the recruitment, where they're taken and how they are treated. I want to appeal to all leaders to be very vigilant about this and we help our young generation to be safe during this Covid-19 pandemic as they look for jobs. #DriwaruJennifer #Woman #MP

SUERITY; Will i Be Imprisoned if i Stand as Suerity for an Accused Person to be Released on Bail and the Accused Skips Court and Runs Away ❓.

Sebaduka was arrested and presented to court for beating his neighbour Sula. He managed to convince the court to release him on bail. Sebaduka's brother Masaka and their mother assured court that they would bring him back at the next court date. However, when it was time for the court to hear his case, Sebaduka was nowhere to be seen. Masaka is now wondering what this means for him and their old mother who stood surety for him. will they be imprisoned for the crime of assault that Sebaduka committed?  WHAT IS BAIL?  Bail is the temporary release of an accused person awaiting trial, sometimes on condition that a sum of money be lodged to guarantee their appearance in court. By law, an accused person is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty, so he/she has a right to apply to be released on bail while their case is heard. To be granted bail, the courts usually require that there is a person who can guarantee to court that the accused will turn up for his or her trial if released

WARNING⚠️; Cybercrime on the Rise, Why Is There A Surge In Ransomware Attacks?.

The U.S. is presently combating two pandemics--coronavirus and ransomware attacks. Both have partially shut down parts of the economy. However, in the case of cybersecurity, lax security measures allow hackers to have an easy way to rake in millions. It's pretty simple for hackers to gain financially, using malicious software to access and encrypt data and hold it hostage until the victim pays the ransom. Cyber attacks are more frequent now because it is effortless for hackers to execute them. Further, the payment methods are now friendlier to them. In addition, businesses are willing to pay a ransom because of the growing reliance on digital infrastructure, giving hackers more incentives to attempt more breaches. Bolder cybercriminals A few years back, cybercriminals played psychological games before getting bank passwords and using their technical know-how to steal money from people's accounts. They are bolder now because it is easy for them to buy ransomware software-as-a-se
