A STATEMENT ON SUICIDE BY HANGING OF A POLICE OFFICER ATTACHED TO FFU ARUA.

In Arua City, police are Investigating an incident of suicide by hanging of a police officer with Force number 59993 PC Aluma Martin, attached to FFU Arua CPS, that occured at unknown time in the night between 22nd to 23rd, April 2022. The deceased resides in Ayiko cell, Alivu ward, Ayivu division, Arua City. It's alleged that in the night of 22nd April 2022 at around 8pm, the deceased handed over the key to his motorvehicle to a certain woman whom ha was staying with, and informed her that he was going for a journey. In the morning of 23rd/04/2022 at around 6am, the body of the deceased was found hanging on a tree in mission cell, Komite ward, Ayivu West division, Arua City by a resident of the area. When this information reached the District Police Commander's of Ayivu West and Arua Central Divisions, they rushed to the scene, and took the body to Arua Regional Referral Hospital mortuary for postmortem. Police Officer Commits Suicide in Arua City.

A Field Force Unit (FFU) Police Officer identified as Aluma attached to Arua Central Police Station in charge stores for guns has been found hanging dead on a tree early this morning 23-4-2022 at Ediofe. He rents in Ayiko cell but committed the suicide in Mission cell in Komite ward Ayivu West Constituency in Arua city. By press time, it was still unclear on why the officer hanged himself.  Sri Lanka will receive $300m to $600m from the World Bank over the next four months to buy medicine and other essential items, the country’s finance minister said Friday, as the Indian ocean island suffers its worst economic crisis in decades. Finance Minister Ali Sabri, who is in Washington to negotiate a rescue package with the International Monetary Fund, said in a video conference that the talks with the IMF might take some time, and that the World Bank has agreed to provide support in the meantime. Neighboring India has also agreed to provide $500m to buy fuel, and negotiations are under way on an additional $1bn from New Delhi, which has already provided a credit line of $1bn, Sabri said.
