Government Aided School in Paranga Sub-county Operates Without Clean Water Source and Inadequate Furniture.

Etoko Primary School, which is a government-aided school with an enrollment of 1727 pupils in the 2024 academic year, is operating without any source of safe water for the pupils, teachers, and nearby residents. 📸: Eyeru Molly, a Teacher. Photo by Our Reporter.  One of the affected staff, Ms. Eyeru Molly, who is a teacher in the school, decried the lack of access to safe water in the area as they struggle with animals in consuming contaminated water from the stream. At times, we have to wake up very early to fetch the water from the stream before animals come in the daytime to dirty it, Molly explained as she pointed to possibilities of their lives being in danger as women because of waking up very early to go and look for water. ...

Unroofed Church in Maracha Made Christians to Miss Prayers.

District Council Deferred from Debating Motion to Approve Creation of a Municipality in Maracha Constituency, Maracha District.
