According to the issued last week, Museveni noted its high time the police force stoped arresting Ugandans on Idle and Disorderly charges. “Since some time ago, even in the time of Gen. Kale Kayihura, I had had occasion to warn the Police about the anti-people and colonial practice of the Police arresting our people, especially the youth, for a nonsensical so-called crime of “idle and disorderly”.” Museveni. Museveni wondered why this should be a crime, “If I am unemployed and I hang about the park, why should somebody accuse me of the crime of “hanging” around (okwehugizaaho)? It is the colonialists that feared the Africans being around that drafted that law. It should be repealed.” “All people that have been arrested on account of this nonsensical crime should be released immediately and all prosecution discontinued because, in any case, the Police and the Courts have got more r

Chinese Hackers Targeting Foreign Governments Across The World.

Phishing is still one of the widely used strategies by cybercriminals and espionage groups to gain an initial foothold on the targeted systems. Though hacking someone with phishing attacks was easy a decade ago, the evolution of threat detection technologies and cyber awareness among people has slowed down the success of phishing and social engineering attacks over the years. Since phishing is more sort of a one-time opportunity for hackers before their victims suspect it and likely won't fall for the same trick again, sophisticated hacking groups have started putting a lot of effort, time and research to design well-crafted phishing campaigns. In one such latest campaign discovered by cybersecurity researchers at Check Point, a Chinese hacking group, known as Rancor, has been found conducting very targeted and extensive attacks against Southeast Asian government entities from December 2018 to June 2019. What's interesting about this ongoing 7-month long campaign is that over t

Google Using Dubious Tactics To Target People. It is long article but i suggest you read it all because it is for your own Good. Thanks.

Google wants your face — especially if you’ve got “darker skin.” To get it, the company has funded a facial recognition project that’s targeting people of color with dubious tactics, multiple sources with direct knowledge of the project told the New York Daily News. The company’s goal is to build a massively diverse database, ostensibly so products such as the biometric features on its upcoming Pixel 4 smartphone don’t suffer from a racial bias. In the past, facial recognition technology has notoriously had a harder time identifying people with darker skin. Google wants to avoid that pitfall — so much so it paid to have hired temps go out to collect face scans from a variety of people on the street using $5 gift cards as incentive. A Google spokesperson acknowledged the goal of the data collection. “We regularly conduct volunteer research studies. For recent studies involving the collection of face samples for machine learning training, there are two goals. First, we want to build fair

Captain Mike Mukula And Minister Anite Evelyn Together With Uganda Investment Authority Board Members, Inspected The Fuel Storage Terminal And Lake Victoria Fuel Transport System.

Together with Capt. Mike Mukula, the chairman of Mahathi Infra Uganda Limited and UIA board member Morrison Rwakakamba,we inspected the fuel storage terminal and lake Victoria fuel transport system in Bugiri-Bukasa along L.Victoria. The project, which was recently commissioned by H.E  Yoweri Kaguta Museveni will store up to 70 million litres of fuel making it one of the largest fuel terminals in East and Central Africa. Upon completion the costs of transporting petroleum products are likely to drop by almost 50%. The Fuel terminal and transport system will help ease transportation of fuel between Kenya and Uganda since the Kenya has a fuel terminal at Kisumu on L.Victoria. Petroleum products transported by road are quite costly and susceptible to adulteration and accidents. The transport system will also ensure reliability in petroleum supplies, provide direct employment to both Ugandan and Kenyan citizens and indirect employment to many due to development of ancillary industries. Uganda`s Army (UPDF) Regards Media Reportage As ``Fictitious Fake News`` Aimed at Tarnishing Government, While The Army Denies Claims of Arresting People Power Supporters Wearing Red Berets.

Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) has described as false and baseless media reports claiming that the Force has arrested some supporters of opposition pressure group ‘People Power’ found donning red berets. This comes a couple of days after UPDF included a red beret and other items in the country’s first-ever gazette of all military clothing, which states that any member of the public found in possession of the items “is liable on conviction to imprisonment for life”, under section 160 of the 2005 UPDF Act. According to the army spokesperson, Brig Richard Karemire, the move to gazette the UPDF dress code was endorsed by the top organs of the army which also commended the dress committee for concluding the task assigned to it years back. Whereas, the UPDF Notice gazetted berets with the UPDF logo as a monopoly of the armed forces, some ‘People Power’ leaders including Bobi Wine already came out and claimed that the army targeted their ‘People Power’ berets. Important to note is that
