Breaking News. President Macron Wins France Presidential Election with 58%, His Opponent Mrs Marine Le Pen Concedes Defeat.

French President Emmanuel Macron has defeated his far-right rival Marine Le Pen by a comfortable margin in Sunday’s runoff election, early projections by pollsters showed, securing a second term. The first projections showed centrist Macron securing around 57-58 percent of the vote in Sunday’s runoff. Such estimates are normally accurate but may be fine-tuned as official results come in from around the country. Le Pen, the candidate of the far-right RN (National Assembly), received 41.8 percent of the votes, the highest in her last three unsuccessful presidential bids. Le Pen conceded defeat in a speech shortly after the polling projections were released, but still hailed her result as a “brilliant victory”. Promising to “carry on” her political career and saying that she would “never abandon” the French, the 53-year-old said: “The result represents a brilliant victory.” Macron would be the first French president in a generation to win a second term, since Jacques Chirac in 2002. WHAT HAPPENS IF A PERSON WHO WAS GIVEN A SHARE OF PROPERTY DIES BEFORE THE DISTRIBUTION?.

Dear lawyers, what happens if my grandfather left all his property to his children, but then my uncle passed away before my grandfather. Now that my grandfather is dead, the children of my uncle want his share of the property that he left behind for his children. Are they entitled to anything? This depends on how your grandfather distributed the property, if he said that the property belongs to his children, the share of the property of the ones who have passed away is supposed to be shared by those who survived. However, if he was specific about the exact share that his children were to benefit, then they cannot just take what would have belonged to someone else even if that person passed away. This property goes back to the estate of your grandfather and if he is still alive, he must decide what to do with it or it will be shared by everyone including the grandchildren (as dependants). #BareFootLaw #osutayusuf

WHAT HAPPENS IF AN ADMINISTRATOR OF THE ESTATE DIES?

When Kityo passed away 8 years ago, his 4 wives were jointly put in charge of his property by the court. They agreed to give it 7 years before selling anything. Last year they agreed to sell some property to take the children back to school, but one of the wives was knocked and died on the spot. Her children say that they cannot allow the remaining ones to do unless a replacement is appointed by court.    CAN THE OTHER WIVES CONTINUE THE SALE? The law of succession in Uganda says that when one or more people who were appointed to manage the property of a deceased person also dies, and there are those who survived, then all the authority they got from court remains with those survivors. This means that the remaining wives of Kityo can continue with the sale and distribution of their late husband’s property even if one of the wives has also passed away. #BarefootLaw  #osutayusuf
