Three of the 4 missing dead bodies have been retrieved in a search following the incident of boat capsizing on river Nile in Pakwach district on Tuesday 06/10/2020. Meanwhile one remaining body of a victim called Shukuran, Female/Adult from Erusi Sub county, Nebbi district is still being searched. This makes the recovered bodies from this deadly incident to be 4 and their names are Ofoy Jakuma Female Adult from Erusi sub county, Rwothmio Male juvenile from Erusi, Gilamio Gloria female adult from Parombo sub county, Baby boy of around 3 months old and all are from Nebbi district. The 3 survivors are Oikane Maureen and Akello Lillian all female adults from Erusi sub county in Nebbi district, Muber also known as Kadogo, Male adult from Ajini village, Pakwach district. A suspected thug fell asleep after raping a 36-year old single mother of four children in the wee hours of Tuesday morning.  The incident happened at Busembe village, Maya parish, Nsangi sub county in Wakiso district. Abbas Bamulangaki Senkumba, allegedly dug a hole in the house until he accessed the woman’s bedroom.  He first demanded for money but later raped her. The victim who has recorded a statement at Nsangi police division said Senkumbi attacked her at around 2am. “He told me that he was sure that I had money. At that time, he was holding a sharp knife. I begged him not to kill me because I am the only parent for my children. I also begged him not to hurt my children. I gave him 1.2 million, I had saved from my shop business,” the woman said. It is now official that the Election Disputes Tribunal of the NRM EC made a ruling in the petition that I filed against Mr. Atima Lee Buti Jackson’s election as the NRM party Flag bearer for MP Arua Central Division. In their ruling delivered at the NRM EC offices yesterday October 4, 2020, my petition was dismissed and Mr. Atima Lee Buti Jackson’s election as NRM Party Flag bearer was upheld. I therefore wish to take this singular opportunity to congratulate Mr. Atima Lee Buti Jackson for this victory.
