Mbale NRM Chairperson John Wekesa has Constructed Road for Residents.

Eng. John Wekesa Wambogo, the Director of Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) at Operation Wealth Creation and the NRM Chairman Mbale City has intervened and constructed a road for Bukasakya residents in the Mbale Industrial Division. The 2km stretch connects Zabanyanya to Marale trading center. Eng. Wambogo says the Shs 34m road project will help the community with transport once completed “We have a health center ahead and it has been difficult for expectant mothers to access the facility through this road.” Wambogo said. Wambogo said, he’s also planning to connect taped water, electricity and put street lights on this road if completed.” Eng. Pegasus Spyware Used to Hack Devices of Activists, Lawyers, Journalists and NGO Officials in Thailand.

Thai activists involved in the country's pro-democracy protests have had their smartphones infected with NSO Group's infamous Pegasus government-sponsored spyware. At least 30 individuals, spanning activists, academics, lawyers, and NGO workers, are believed to have been targeted between October 2020 and November 2021, many of whom have been previously detained, arrested and imprisoned for their political activities or criticism of the government. "The timing of the infections is highly relevant to specific political events in Thailand, as well as specific actions by the Thai justice system," the Citizen Lab  said  in a Sunday report. "In many cases, for example, infections occurred slightly before protests and other political activities by the victims." RDC Defends 30 Acres of Rice Slashed Down in Otuke District.

People cut down rice planted in Okole wetland in Lira District in February. Last week, 30 acres of rice were slashed down in Otuke District. An estimated 30 acres of rice were last week cut down in drought-ravaged Otuke District under unclear circumstances.   Whereas local authorities suspect the crop could have been destroyed as part of an effort by the government to restore wetlands in the country, the National Environment Management Authority (Nema) denied responsibility. “There is information circulating on social media alleging that Nema has slashed down rice in Otuke. We wish to clarify that Nema has not carried out such an operation in Otuke. URA Responds to Social Media Claims, Denies Plans to Deduct Tax from $70,000 and $22,000 Cash Awarded to World Athletic Champions Cheptegei and Kiplimo.

Uganda Police Force Warns the Public Against Posting Their Routine Lifestyle on Social Media.

The criminals that killed a city councillor last week while jogging likely tracked him by following his social media updates about the exercise, police have said, citing preliminary findings. The revelation, if confirmed, illuminates the security risk that online activity poses to netizens. James Kakooza was a city division councillor representing Kamwokya parish and unknown assailants waylaid him on the edge of Centenary Park in central Kampala on Saturday and reportedly struck him on the head with an object, leaving him dead. Whereas a suspect has been taken into custody, the motive of the killing and the identities of the killers remain unknown. Two suspects are reportedly on the run.
