America Advises Its Citizens not to Travel to Uganda Over Rising Criminality and Terrorism.

The United States of America (USA) has issued a level III security alert, urging all its nationals to reconsider travel to Uganda over security related threats. Level III, is the orange and second highest threat alert. In a statement dated December 8, 2021 that was issued on the official US Embassy in Uganda website, the US said that all its nationals should “reconsider travel to Uganda due to crime and terrorism.” “Terrorist groups active in Uganda have claimed responsibility for recent bombings in and near Kampala. While the attacks do not appear to have targeted foreigners, anyone can be a victim of acts of violence,” the advisory stated. The statement noted that violent crime, such as armed robbery, home invasion, and sexual assault, can occur at any time, especially in larger cities including Kampala and Entebbe. “Local police may lack appropriate resources to respond effectively to serious crime,” the statement reads in part. The travel advisory was issued just hours after the

How Doctor Allan was Fought Out of DHO Office Terego District.

2021 Has Been a Year With Full of Unfolding Events in WestNile Region - Uganda. #Episode_One; In-fighting. #Terego District. Dear Westnilers, how far is the progress on the petition to Minsitry of Public Service over the appointment of statesman Harold Acema to Terego District service commission board?. Harold Acema, a graduate of; Makerere University, Oxford University and University of Toronto in Canada is petitioned  at Mininstry of Public Service on grounds of Lack of Academic papers! 😁😀😂 By virtue, the petition has put intellectual Acema’s vetting and approval on “Hault”. No matter the criteria that was used by the petitioners to arrive to this kind laughable petition, i think the whole thing was filed in a bad faith and such kinds of petitions might have been influenced by some individuals on hidden motives. Why have i said this!. When Terego District was given the District status and to start fully functioning in year 2020, a one experienced Doctor called Dr Allan , having

Hackers Weaponizing Compromised and Unpatched Servers.

Threat actors are actively weaponizing unpatched servers affected by the newly disclosed "Log4Shell" vulnerability in Log4j to install cryptocurrency miners, Cobalt Strike, and recruit the devices into a botnet, even as telemetry signs point to exploitation of the flaw nine days before it even came to light. Netlab, the networking security division of Chinese tech giant Qihoo 360, disclosed threats such as Mirai and Muhstik (aka Tsunami) are setting their sights on vulnerable systems to spread the infection and grow its computing power to orchestrate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks with the goal of overwhelming a target and rendering it unusable. Muhstik was previously spotted exploiting a critical security flaw in Atlassian Confluence (CVE-2021-26084, CVSS score: 9.8) earlier this September. The latest development comes as it has emerged that the vulnerability has been under attack for at least more than a week prior to its public disclosure on December 10, and

Report; Facebook and Snapchat are still tracking iOS users who have opted out.

Earlier this year, Apple introduced its App Tracking Transparency (ATT) feature as part of iOS 14.5. The company first announced this privacy-focused addition last year, during WWDC20. ATT gives users the option to decide whether they want apps to track them across other apps and websites for tailored advertisements. By toggling it off, app developers aren’t allowed to request from users to turn it on or offer them perks for doing so. However, a report shares that services like Facebook and Snapchat are still tracking iOS users who have opted out, thanks to a loophole in Apple’s guidelines. As the Financial Times reports, some services like Facebook and Snapchat have found creative ways to track iPhone users. The loophole in Apple’s guidelines allows developers to do so, even if users disable tracking in settings. The report states that it’s “an unacknowledged shift that lets companies follow a much looser interpretation of its controversial privacy policy.” The guidelines mention that

Here Are Some of the Reasons Why WestNile Region is a Beautiful Place for Tourist Destinations and Business Ventures.

Surprise! Big Surprise. That is what Arua is to a first-timer in West Nile. Tucked away in the northwestern part of Uganda, Arua City is an echelon of its own, a quiet giant that is grossly underestimated. Seated 494km away from the noisy Kampala, Arua City is a perfect escape from the grind, pollution, and sickening traffic jam of Kampala.  After a punishing 8 hours on the road that left my butt heated up, we finally arrived in the buzzing Arua City. To everyone’s surprise, Arua was full of life, buzzing with activity, and had all the amenities that you could possibly want for a get-way.  The feel was different. The air was unique and the night wore a tint of rebellion. It was big, green, and clean. Our ignorance of this beautiful town had given us the false impression that it was akin to Arua park in Kampala. We thought Arua was simply a business center where the people live, breathe, and die of business. Far from it, it had more- and more.   Beaten and broken by the long journey, an
