I will continue to serve as the Justice Minister in NRM Party Government, as i remain the DP Party President - Norbert Mao.

The Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister appointee Nobert Mao has vowed not to step down as Opposition Democratic Party (DP) President, setting tone for battles that await Uganda’s oldest political organization. “The constitution of DP and the cooperation agreement (with Mr Museveni) are not mutually exclusive. I signed it as president of DP and will continue exercising my duty as DP president,” Mao said on Friday. Mao, 55, was Friday approved by Parliament a day after what he described as an “unusual appointment” to President Museveni’s cabinet in a seismic July 21 move. The reason would have been for instance if members said I will be too busy. That one I would listen,” Mao remarked on Friday.   The ex-Gulu City chairperson had Thursday evening said in accepting the positi

IF I HAVE BEEN APPOINTED TO LOOK AFTER A BANKRUPT PERSON’S PROPERTY, WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO ?.

If you go or are taken to court because you are unable to pay your debts, the court may declare you bankrupt. Being bankrupt means that you are too ‘broke’ to pay your debts but also that you cannot act freely like any other person in terms of handling money or property.  For this reason, the court will appoint a person to immediately take over the management and the job of looking after your property and financial affairs (called an official receiver). This is a temporary role but is still particularly important when a person has been declared bankrupt. If such a person is appointed, they will be required to carry out the following duties: 1.  To receive the list of all properties of the bankrupt person (including bank accounts, shares, other non-physical properties) 2.  To inform the public that the court has made a bankruptcy order. (This is the court order declaring that a person is unable to pay their debts and should be relieved of the right to handle their financial affairs). 3.

Congratulations Noble Peter Ogwang, Hamson Obua, Nobert Mao and Akiro Beatrice Akello Upon New Appointment as Ministers.

I treasure this ambient time to congratulate DP Party Chairman Hon Nobert Mao upon his appointment as the Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hon Hamson Obua on his appointment as the Goveenment chip whip, Hon Akello Beatrice Akori, Woman MP for Agago District upon her appointment as the State Minister for Economic Monitoring in office of the President and Hon Peter Ogwang, MP for Ngariam County in Katakwi District upon his appointment as the State Minister for Education and Sports. I would like to share an opinion about the appointment of Hon Nobert Mao, which has come as a surprise to some people. Much as many of the opposition fraternity in Uganda will heckle at noble Hon Nobert Mao as someone who has betrayed DP party and the entire Opposition fraternity in Uganda, i take that as a positive move though it may leave the integrity of Mao dented, as some people will perceive. I strongly believe in intellectual Hon Nobert Mao, whom i love and admire, will not let us down a

Russian Hackers Tricked Ukrainians with Fake "DoS Android Apps to Target Russia".

Russian threat actors capitalized on the ongoing conflict  against Ukraine to distribute Android malware camouflaged as an app for pro-Ukrainian hacktivists to launch distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks against Russian sites. Google Threat Analysis Group (TAG) attributed the malware to Turla, an advanced persistent threat also known as Krypton, Venomous Bear, Waterbug, and Uroburos, and linked to Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB). "This is the first known instance of Turla distributing Android-related malware," TAG researcher Billy Leonard  said . "The apps were not distributed through the Google Play Store, but hosted on a domain controlled by the actor and disseminated via links on third party messaging services." It's worth noting that the  onslaught  of  cyberattacks  in the immediate aftermath of Russia's unprovoked invasion of Ukraine prompted the latter to  form an IT Army  to stage counter-DDoS attacks against Russian websites. The entry of the business magnate, who was ranked the first dollar billionaire in Tanzania by Forbes in 2013, promised a vicious battle for control of the Kenyan cooking gas market that remains under the tight leash of Mombasa-based tycoon, Mohamed Jaffer. The entry of Taifa Gas into Kenya is part of a trade deal between the countries signed between Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta and Tanzania’s Samia Suluhu last year. The

AM I STILL OBLIGATED TO PAY TAXES WHEN I HAVE BEEN DECLARED BANKRUPT ?.

Of all the debts that landed Kingo in trouble, the biggest was the unpaid taxes. 3 people demanded from him a combined UGX 11 million while the unpaid taxes were UGX 67 million. Unfortunately, those demanding the 11 million could not wait and the courts declared Kingo bankrupt. This allowed the 3 creditors to take and sell the house which Kingo had used as ‘security for the loans. However, Kingo thought he had survived the taxes since he was now bankrupt. But he has been told that taxes cannot be avoided. So Kingo wants to know if taxes are still payable after he is bankrupt. WHAT DOES THE LAW SAY? A tax is a compulsory non quid pro quo payment. In less Latin, this means a tax is a financial charge expected from an individual or organization to fund government spending. You cannot choose whether to pay it or not.  If a person does not pay their taxes on time, then it becomes a debt that they must pay.  WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUNCES OF BEING DECLARED BANKRUPT OR INSOLVENT? Just like the othe
